Vegetable tanning is an organic way to treat leather and dates back thousands of years. This process relies on an extended and complex process of soaking animal hides that can take up to two months and requires a high level of craftsmanship to ensure the desired quality.
The results of this process deliver a luxurious and buttery-smooth, full-grain leather that will age beautifully and mature into a rich patina finish, allowing you to add your own mark to this historic tradition.

Italian Craftsmanship
This Bluebonnet piece is sourced directly from the world-renowned Conciera Walpier tannery nestled in the hills of Tuscany. The Walpier tannery has perfected the ancient art of vegetable tanning. Each item takes part in this family tradition of craftsmanship started 45 years ago by master tanner Ciampalini Gino, who represents a regional legacy that spans generations.

Inspired by Nature
The blue imbued in each piece pays homage to the Texas state Bluebonnet flower to bring joy and color to essentials we use in our busy everyday lives.
