Great case. Serves its purpose. Beautiful color and has a luxurious soft leather feel. My only gripe would be the minor slight imperfection of an air bubble that was created on the inside during manufacturing and leaving a small embossed dent on the outside of the case. Not a big deal at all, but I notice these things.
I love that it's from the USA and made in Texas. I also LOVE that the branding is on the inside of the case and not the outside, a classy touch. Overall, stunning case catching onlookers who can't help but ask me about it.
Get yourself one, if you're on the fence. I'm sure mine was the minority and yours will be perfect!
The color is great just the leather scuffs very quickly. I just purchased it and I’m very diligent with it and I have a few scuff marks. However overall it’s a beautiful piece of leather and well crafted.
I found Bluebonnet on Instagram, checked out their story, and loved that it’s a USA-based company. I decided to give their iPhone case a shot and ended up switching from a Rimowa case…and I’m really glad I did.
The Bluebonnet case is sleeker and feels significantly better in the hand. The buttons are flawless, it adds almost no weight, and the leather wrap around the camera opening is something I couldn’t find on other leather cases I love (Nomad).
What impressed me is the craftsmanship in the areas you don’t even see….aka the inside of the case is just as thoughtfully made as the outside. You can tell a lot of care went into this product.
I’m excited to see how the leather ages and already thinking about picking up their bifold wallet if the case holds up as expected….TBD….Would 100% recommend.

On my Cosmic Orange iPhone 17 Pro Max, this case creates a stunning sophisticated contrast. The signature Raised Leather Wall (a molded bezel instead of a metal ring) acts as a deep shadow box. It frames the Satin Black Camera Skin I have installed on the camera plateau and allows a floating Cosmic Orange effect on the camera Lenses like vintage instrument dials set into a luxury tan dashboard. It is a "Space Cowboy" look that feels both futuristic and heritage-bound.
The Feel:
By removing the cold touch of aluminum rings, the case offers a seamless, warm tactile experience. The leather wall provides a soft, organic landing spot for your index finger, making the phone feel more like a well-crafted wallet than a piece of technology.
The Ritual:
This is "living" vegetable-tanned leather, meaning it is not for the lazy. It demands the daily "Purist Protocol" (Saphir Cloth + Goat Hair Brush) to develop a rich, burnished patina rather than a dirty stain.
The Verdict:
9.5/10 for the Purist. It trades the "tactical" protection of metal rings for the "soul" of molded leather. It transforms your iPhone from a disposable tool into a long-term companion.
I’m pretty tough on my phone. This leather case has been dropped twice on a cobblestone sidewalk and has barely shown any wear. Starting to develop a nice patina, too.
This is the best leather case for the iPhone 17 Pro . . . I have purchased cases from multiple competitors, and they all add significant bulk and/or weight to the iPhone 17 Pro. This is the only leather case I found that fits snugly, doesn't add bulk, and, it feels great in the hand.
Really disappointed in this company, Bluebonnet. I mistakenly ordered two of these cases from what I thought was a discount and was actually a on click second order. I notified them immediately after I placed the order. I received a response after several days indicating the order had already shipped. I asked for return instructions twice and it’s been over two weeks with no response. I don’t expect I’ll ever hear back from customer service at this point. One of the worst and most misleading purchasing experiences I’ve had in a long time.
Fantastic case. It fits the phone perfectly; no imperfections in the molding; no bending in the frame; the case maintains the thin profile of the iPhone Air, which is very important. The leather also feels really good in the hand. I love the brass buttons! Just like the old Apple leather cases. This case feels like the old Apple Leather cases that used to be made for the iPhone XS. Really great quality--everything from the fit to the buttons to the color and feel. I recommend.
I'm pretty happy with the case. It's well made, looks nice, and the buttons are especially well done. There was a nice, tight fit that required a bit of force to snap the iPhone 18 Pro Max into place. If i were to improve on it, I wish it had some padding, especially around the sides and back, so it has some leather softness to the touch. As it is, it's essentially a hard case, which is fine, but I would like the option of a model with extra padding. Thank you much.
I was looking for a little more of that leather smell, but the fit is perfect and that really matters. Also the switch covers work well, including the touch bar for camera control - so yes - super. Thank you.
First I must apologize. I placed an order for a phone case and after further research realized I ordered the wrong case for my phone. I must say the support department was very prompt and professional. Often times we write reviews based on the product. However I felt compelled to also share my sales experience and have nothing but positive things to say about whole process. Look forward to sharing your companies product with my family and friends.
Love the case! My second Bluebonnet case. I had one on my iPhone 15 and it held up well and developed a great looking patina.
However as a company their customer service and communication is terrible!!! Response time to emails is abysmal. No other way to communicate. Accidentally ordered two cases and cannot get a response on how to return one of them. Will never purchase another case from them or recommend to anyone else.
The fitting is great. My phone is black. Personally, I do not care for the copper color buttons. It takes away from the natural and beautiful tone of the leather. I'd prefer if they are just holes with the original buttons coming through. This strategy may not work with different color phones though. Thanks for caring.
