This Bluebonnet piece is crafted from American Horween English Tan Dublin leather, a full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather that is tanned using Horween’s 100 year old “Cordovan Veg Tan” liquor formula.
Essex leather sides are infused with a wax blend and ironed under a hot roller to create Dublin – a full bodied leather with a rugged appeal. The wax finish creates a beautiful pull-up effect on the leather when bent or handled.

Horween has been tanning in Chicago since 1905 and Dublin is one of its signature hides. Essex sides are infused with a wax blend, then ironed under a hot roller to produce a full-bodied leather with a rugged surface. The wax is what creates the pull-up effect when the leather is bent.
Cut and Finished by One Craftsman
Harper, a leather artisan based in Sarasota, hand-cuts, burnishes and finishes every band. He learned the trade watching his grandfather build bags, holsters and cases in a New Mexico workshop, and his work carries that lineage. The band is not assembled on a line.
